These food containers are made from a clear polycarbonate plastic, which is often termed "unbreakable" plastic due to its extreme durability. It's able to withstand extreme temperature ranges and, as such, is safe in both dishwashers and microwaves. The clarity of these containers is important as it will allow you to quickly see what the products are in the container as well as the amount, and the graduations on the side will give you a more quantitative assessment of the contents.

The snap-on lid for this food container is sold separately, is orange in colour, and fits both this container and the 7.6-litre version. This style of food container is available in six (6) different sizes, and they are completely stackable, making them ideal for maximising shelf space.

These food containers are not a "cheap plastic" type of container that can easily crack or fog up (craze) over time. They are high-quality commercial food containers that will give you good service over many years of constant use.
