On the front edge of our shelf dividers are small holes (single hole for low profile dividers). This keeper rod has the function of acting as a barrier to keep products from falling out of the front of a divider... particularly when a spring pusher is used to push products forward and the way this rod functions is simply to feed it through the holes in a row of dividers thereby creating a barrier for stock.
The keeper rod itself is made from very tough polycarbonate plastic and when in place, acts not only as a barrier, but also to assist in keeping soft packs (such as bags of salad), in a more upright position.
